  • Legal Aid of West Virginia: Legal Aid of WV is a statewide nonprofit organization providing free legal services and advocacy. They ensure dignity and equal justice is available to all West Virginians, not just those who can afford it.
  • Vital Records US: Vital Records is useful for youth trying to obtain a certified copy of their birth certificate. This website can help youth locate the appropriate office contact information and learn what they will need to submit to provide the requested records.
  • Human Resource Development Foundation, Inc. (HRDF): HRDF helps to provide economically disadvantaged West Virginians opportunities for self-sufficiency and improved living conditions.
  • Aetna Member Services: Helps to provide assistance and answer questions regarding a youth’s medical card.
  • ScholarshipOwl: The ScholarshipOwl platform makes it fun and easy to apply for scholarships, and helps students focus on scholarships they have the best chance of winning.
  • College Navigator: A free online tool that helps students, parents, and school counselors research and compare postsecondary institutions in the United States. The tool is developed by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and the US Department of Education.
  • WV College Trio Programs: TRIO programs are federally funded programs that help students from disadvantaged backgrounds, including low-income students, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities, progress through their education.
  • WV Mental Health Clinics: This website is a great resource for locating local mental health clinics throughout WV and showing the services each clinic provides.
  • WV Housing Development Fund (WVHDF): The WVHDF is a local agency that aims to help West Virginia residents find affordable housing. They have various programs available to help West Virginians become homeowners. Some include loans and down payment assistance for families with moderate to low incomes.
  • SNAP Exceptions for Youth Experiencing Homelessness and Exiting Foster Care: Provides information and resources on new exceptions from the Able-Bodied Adults without Dependents (ABAWD) time limits and work requirements in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
  • Center for Financial Literacy and Education (CFLE): CFLE brings awareness, resources, programs and support to constituents across the region that will initiate change agents to promote the economic health and prosperity of the citizens of the State of West Virginia.
  • AmeriCorps: AmeriCorps offers opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds to be a part of the national service community, grow personally and professionally, and receive benefits for their service.
  • Regional Transition Navigator Services (RTNS): The Regional Transition Navigator Services team is designed to provide information, training and resources/services to at-risk youth and young adults statewide.
  • West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS): DRS supports youth and adults with disabilities (ages 14 and up) on their path to work and live independently. DRS provides vocational services to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, retain or advance in employment.
  • WorkForce West Virginia: WorkForce West Virginia is committed to fostering a thriving workforce where every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential. With programs like WIOA, WorkForce West Virginia offers support for people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • West Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness: The goal of the WV Coalition to End Homelessness is to end homelessness in our state. Housing people is the only way we’ll end homelessness. The Coalition assist agencies and communities in West Virginia where homelessness is either a prevalent or hidden issue. The Coalition is committed to ending homelessness in West Virginia and to ensuring that no child, veteran, or family enters homelessness in the first place.
  • Federal Student Aid (FSA): FSA is responsible for managing the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. These programs provide grant, work-study, and loan funds to students attending college or career school. This is also the site to complete and update the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form annually.
  • College for West Virginia (CFWV): CFWV is a free online resource that helps to provide planning past high school, including financial aid planning, career planning, college planning, and other helpful resources.
  • West Virginia 211: 211 is a free and confidential service that helps West Virginians find local resources when they are in crisis.
